Omron acquires BST, a Chinese manufacturer of magnetic latching relays

Recently, Omron (China) Co., Ltd. and China's magnetic relay manufacturer Shanghai Best Electric Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as: BST) signed an acquisition contract to acquire the company with a 100% investment ratio.
With the rapid growth of demand in the smart grid market in the future, smart meters will become the core components that connect the transmission grid and residential. A magnetic latching relay will be used to switch the load of the smart meter.
